Buying a PS3 for just one game seems excessive. If you're not a gamer you could just watch it on YouTube...

But there are some other great PS3-exclusive titles. So I'm glad I now have an 'excuse' to buy a PS3 and get to play those too.

Bought:
Heavy Rain
Demon's Souls

Sure to buy at some point:
Ico/Shadow Of The Colossus (HD Re-Issue)
Red Dead Redemption

Unsure (not a big action-fan):
God of War
Infamous
Uncharted

I'd appreciate any tips on other PS3-games worth a look.

1up.com has written a new article on the game. The focus is actually criticizing David Cage's approach to gaming (even going so far as calling David being disrespectful--ouch!). So this is something to keep in mind in advance before you get a wee bit too hyped up on the game.

Edit: What kind of games do you like, Bifrons? It's hard to make recommendations without knowing the genres you enjoy. There are a lot of games I like that you may not, a couple of suggestions would be:

Mirror's Edge, a first person 'shooter', where you play a very agile female climbing up walls and running horizontally across walls. You can beat the entire game without shooting a gun a single time. You even get a trophy for doing that. The story is weak though, so don't play for that aspect.

Burnout Paradise, an extremely fast racing game, burning rubber through a large city. The AI actually goes fairly easy on you, which is good for players like me who can get frustrated in cheap racing games.

Metal Gear Solid HD collection, getting MGS 2, MGS 3 and MGS PW (PSP game re-done in HD), is fantastic. MGS 3 is my personal favorite action game ever made. You can beat MGS 2 and 3 without firing a single bullet as well (though you will have to use tranquilizer darts instead).

Sonic & Sega All-Star Racing, a fast and fun game similar to Mario Kart, but it brings enough uniqueness all its own so it doesn't feel like a blatant rip off. The sequel is coming out at the end of the year.

Assassin's Creed series, both Dom and I love Assassin's Creed. Very heavily story driven and the new game coming this year (part 3) is going to be one of the biggest and best selling games of the year.

Thanks for the suggestions. There's some potential there. And that's basically what I'm looking for: good games I might have missed.
Specifically PS3-exclusive games, like Metal Gear Solid.

So I actually would prefer you not to cater to my tastes.
Which are pretty inconsistent anyway:

All-time Favorite: Fallout 3
Disappointment: Fallout New Vegas (objectively better in almost every way, but survival of mankind itself no longer in jeopardy -> pretty boring)

All-time favorite: Dragon Age
HUGE disappointment: Dragon Age II (gameplay from hell)

All-time favorite: Morrowind
Disappointment: Oblivion (player gets punished for levelling up)

So sometimes just the tiniest detail might kill a game for me.
And sometimes I still love a game even though it's obvious the developers are trying to kill the franchise:
Mass Effect

As you might have guessed these are the things I like:
- single-player
- RPG-elements
- good story
- interesting characters

Gameplay itself is secondary, I can adapt.
But just for reference, my favorite gameplay ever:
Mass Effect 2 (Infiltrator on Insanity)

So yeah, thanks again.
Keep them coming, with particular attention on PS3-exclusive titles.

I didn't think she would ever read my tweets, she's always ignored me (and I've sent a lot). But I guess that confirms she did read at least one of my tweets sent to her.
I think it was worth it.

Look at the 00:50 , 01:41. She's not like other actors. They're like politicans. But Ellen is just normal, sincere.

She's also the best in the last scene (shouting Beyond. :))

This is really good for a behind scenes presentation. It's good that it has different parts in it, so it becomes a video show.

I can do that, yeah. But still I won't sign up. :yellowhappy:

I revise my former statement:
Buying a PS3 for just one game is not excessive.
It just has to be the right game.
For me that game has been "Demon's Souls".

This game severely punishes the player for dying.
Not only do you have to start the current level all over again
but you also lose ALL your previously accumulated XP/Gold.
So you better incorporate some cunning and strategy into your approach.
If not...

There is not just Beyond as a good game for PS3. :D

If you like movies (I think most of you do, because of being here.) there are Heavy Rain, Fahrenheit (Both are Quatic Dream's games.), Metal Gear Solid, Uncharted...

If you like action  God of War is one of the best games for PS3. Metal Gear Solid and Uncharted are also in this category.

There is Little Big Planet for those who likes amusing games.

The best game for PS3 has not been released yet, The Last of Us coming for 2013. :winner:

And the best game for us is of course Beyond with an incredible script (in the words of Ellen's.^^).

These games are PS3 exclusives. :)

In addition to the already mentioned videgame (Beyond:two souls), the character of Ellie in "The Last of us", reminds me someone :

More than anything, I REALLY want a release date! :sassy:

As far as I've heard (from the Beyond: Two Souls facebook page), there should be some bigger news very soon. Along with a release date, I'm hoping to see a new trailer, maybe some new screenshots and more story information, etc. Knowing David Cage's habit of keeping things very close to the chest (which I'm fine with), who knows what we'll discover soon! :)
