SUPER makes $52,800 in opening weekend box office in 11 theaters, for average of $4,800 per theater. Pretty good performance I would say. My friends and I contributed $50 to that. :)

I'd contribute if they'd show the movie within a 100 miles of here. :evilcensored: Hello Canadians watch movies too. :tart:

im actually quite disappointed at the bad reviews this movie is receiving....

after receiving such rave reviews at TIFF ,criticism is being aimed at the movie because of the violence .. seems only Ellens character has saved the movie...

anyway lets see how much more positive or negative reviews this mvie receives and if this movie will ever make it to international cinemas , hopefully it doesnt go to DVD soon after

Got my ticket to see SUPER in May here in London. I ended up sitting staring at the website for almost 24 hours straight without sleep.
In the country dead bodies live in swamps and ditches and shallow graves. A man dumps the body of a girl in a ditch. The body rotts melts into slime. Flowers pop up where the body lies, seeds fly out of the flowers and a bee sucks the flowers and makes honey. Then the family of the girl buys the honey from the store. And the family eats the girl.

Bummer you were not at the KaPow Comic Con in London last weekend. Mark Millar, the man who wrote Kick Ass....had a "Mystery Movie" he showed at KaPow....but did not let anyone know beforehand. That film he showed was SUPER.

Kinda cool that Millar chose SUPER since so many compared it to Millar's Kick Ass. However bummer that became the first SUPER showing in England

I got this info from James Gunn's twitter....still cannot find a good article on it

The reviews aren't bad, they're mixed. It's exactly what they expected, and in fact quite a bit better than I was expecting. I was expecting a low 40s Metascore, but it's in the 50s. Not bad at all.

Ellen Page did some viral marketing with Rainn as Boltie here. She's pretty funny.

What's she trying to say when the security guy asks her for a channel?

She's asking for her favorite TV show in real life, "Top Chef"
