Where nowadays?

The golden globes just got over, here. I didn't see her.

I saw drew barrymore [swoon] and catherine keener.

I believe she's not currently filming, no?

I'm just curious why she didn't attend.

I guess it's possible that she wasn't invited. Celebrities aren't usually invited unless they are in, or involved with, a movie that is being honored.
When she opens her mouth, the universe comes out.

I have seen quite a few articles on her being 'snubbed'. I believe Michael Cera was also. Pretty dumb I think. Oscar nominee one year, not being invited to the GG the next :noclue: I'm sure she wasn't overly worried about it though. It's not really her thing and she wasn't nominated or anything however, CK was for ACC so that's would've been a shame had she won.

She's probably preparing for Jane Eyre - that is of course after she's had some time off for christmas etc. She's been a busy girl of late so I think she deserves a bit of time off

That's a very small venue where they have the Golden Globes so I can see maybe Ellen not being invited to the show, due to lack of space. Also, the Globes give out TV awards...so you have TV stars there (who are not at the Oscars) taking up space.

Wow Lori...I hope she is filming Jane Eyre now :) Would love to see her portrayal of Jane

*bump*
According to several Mexican websites, Ellen will go to Guadalajuara, Mexico together with John Malkovich to watch "El buen canario" on either February 10 or 11. The english title is "Good Canary" and it's about a frustrated writer dealing with his wife who is addicted to amphetamines. Who knows, maybe they plan to bring this play to the states? :yellowink:

Interesting  It's a play you say? Maybe they're thinking of a movie adaptation :noclue: Sounds like a pretty good plot to me  That... would be very cool indeed.

That sounds like quite a good play to me. If they do plan on adapting it to a movie it would be good to see Ellen work with John Malkovich

eh, sounds like a 'snoozer' to me.

i've never seen the play, so i could be wrong, but the premise alone sounds pretty grating. the poor aristocrat trying to cope with his awful white plight--no one cares, NEXT!
Though, I don't know how well a crushed lunchbox with a spear through it would work...

How did you get that from "frustrated writer coping with his wife's addiction to amphetamines"? Did I miss something? :noclue:

And yes, I definitely want to see Ellen + Malkovich. You know, I had no idea that he was involved with "Juno" until just recently. What was he, an executive producer or something?

That's right. He was one of the producers of this movie and attended the premiere in LA for example :stare:
