I kept looking for this...and finally found it....the Juno Soundtrack has been Certified Platinum.....1,000,000 copies sold in the USA (it was certified back in March, apparently)

In this era where few albums/soundtracks sell a million copies....this is a sweet accomplishment. More congrats for Jason Reitman, Kimya Dawson, our fave actress...and all the other artists who appeared on album. And, hey, that gal on Track 19 can sing :D

From Billboard Magazine (First date is release date...second date is Platinum certification)

Juno: Music From The Motion Picture Soundtrack 12/10/2007 Rhino 3/11/2009

Thanks for the information, Dan :) That's definitely something for my next news entry on the main site :grooving: In all modesty, I think this huge success can be attributed to Ellen and her great taste of music in the first place. But also congrats to Rhino, Jason Reitman, Kimya Dawson and all other artists and bands, of course!

I guess, Rhino is going to release a "Juno: Music From The Motion Picture (Platinum Edition) (3CD)" album now
There's nothing to fear, nothing to doubt.

I had been looking for the Platinum certification for a while....and just discovered it. Billboard must have been slow updating the list...for it went platinum in March

Very much so....that Ellen's input on the Juno soundtrack was so important...and the reason for its success. As good as Juno was....the soundtrack was so right for the film. Ellen deserves a lot of credit and praise for her input....and every future producer and director should be asking for her opinion on musci for a film

Yes Rhino needs to put out the Platinum Edition of the Juno SD....along with the Grammy Winner sticker on it:D
