Remembering the movie

When I thought about the movie the other day, I noticed an interesting thing.
I haven't seen the movie in a long time and when I think about it the images in my head aren't in that fragmented style as the movie is edited.
In my head it "looks" like a regular movie. I do remember quite a bunch of scenes, but they feel like regular movie scenes.

That's interesting. At least to me. Apparently my brain remembers mainly the story and the overall look and feel of the movie rather than specific shots or frames.

So, the question is, how do other people remember the movie?

I would say in a fragmented way. You never know when a certain scene is actually taking place within the plot, especially if you are watching it for the first time. This makes it very difficult (on purpose of course) and interesting to follow the actual story. On the other hand the movie would be pretty boring and senseless if everything happens straightforward. But as you said, your mind probably brings all the scenes in the right order afterwards, which in turn makes you feel like you watched a regular movie at the end.

Wasn't there a version where someone made a linear edit of the movie ??

Yeah, if I remember correctly, there was indeed one video showing the events in the right order, which was created with the provided raw footage on occasion of "Re-Fragmented" contest.

Yeah somebody did that but I've never seen it. Somewhere I think I still have all the raw footage from the Re-Fragmented contest.
