Congrats to Charles Xavier....er....Patrick Stewart. You can now call him "Sir Patrick"

Patrick Stewart just recently knighted by the Queen

Also of note....Patrick Stewart's publicist is Kelly Bush....Ellen's manager/publicist. In fact, Sir Patrick was Kelly's first client when she formed her PR firm around 15 years ago or so.

Congrats again to one of the truly memorable actors of our era

Speaking of Sir Patrick, a strange casting of James McAvoy as his younger self is coming up in X-Men: First Class

Fox is clearly trying to skew the new X-men movie extra young by casting 31-year-old James McAvoy (right) as Professor X, which makes me wonder just how young Kitty Pryde is going to be? In X-3, Pryde was played by a then 19-year-old Ellen Page while the Professor was a 64-year-old Patrick Stewart.
Each moment is an opportunity to make a fresh start. (Pema Chodron)

Gosh, with that age difference....Kitty Pryde not even born yet....maybe not even her parents born yet

Right now Fox is concentrating on the X-Men prequels. Given that they are focusing on Xavier and the early years of the first batch of X-Men, it stands to reason that Kitty and the other younger X-Men don't yet exist in the time that these stories take place. Should Fox ever decide to come back to the current crop of X-Men, maybe then they'll feature Kitty again. But that said, by the time they do that - if they ever do, even - Ellen's contract to play Kitty for the sequels may have expired. In which case, if Fox wants her back, they'll have to fork out major $$$ to get her to reprise the role (this is assuming that Ellen is even intrested in doing this). Alternatively, they may just recast the role. Remember, Ellen is the third actress to play Kitty. There were two other actresses in the first two movies. The simpler and cheaper route would to be re-cast.
