Another remake ?
Isn't it great to have another new movie with Ellen? My answer would be: Kinda. Or, as many not-so-funny people would say: "It depends" And it depends on: Do you like, don't care or even hate the current streak of reboots, remakes and rehash of "old" movies. So far I've seen the trailer. And, of cou...

Remembering the movie
When I thought about the movie the other day, I noticed an interesting thing. I haven't seen the movie in a long time and when I think about it the images in my head aren't in that fragmented style as the movie is edited. In my head it "looks" like a regular movie. I do remember quite a bunch of sce...

I usually try not to see any trailers or read any reviews for movies that I'm excited to see. Because I know there might be spoilers, and, what's more important, I can't watch the movie unbiased.

[News Thread] Ellen to voice Izzy in "Robodog"
I can understand that, I think the hype about 'Juno' (and her Oscar nomination) and 'Inception' scared her away from fame.
And to avoid fame, especially as a young, beautiful, talented actress, you have to stay in the background.
Sad, but true.

... People in Hollywood need to realize that she is an extremely talented actress who deserves more than just the background role. ... it isn't fair to her and her career that her talents are being wasted on minor roles ... Maybe someday Hollywood will get their heads out of their asses, but until ...

I was about to write "YEAHH, a new movie with Ellen", but it seems her part isn't that big ... again. In the IMDb she's not even listed. (yet?!)
Ellen, Ellen, Ellen, you not nice to your fans. <-- this is rhetorical, I know she's not reading this
Well, could be worse.

As far as I know Ellen wasn't too "amused" with her "association with "Ellie"".robertbaur1 wrote:... maybe because of her "association with "Ellie" ...
But, I'm up for the idea. Every movie with Ellen is a good movie (in my book). And, the empty space on my Ellen shelf gathers dust.

I hope so (for germany). I don't like 3D. It adds nothing to the story, and wearing those stupid 3D glasses over my regular glasses is distracting.valap wrote:... Does any other country have also problems with the 3D version?

Another great interview.
... "I knew I would be happier," she says. "But I wouldn't have anticipated just how f---ing happy I am and how every tiny little aspect of my life feels better."
I'm so happy for her.

To me, the sad thing about the speech is that Ellen said some very great things, very inspiring and thought-provoking. Things many people should do or at least think about. But almost everybody focuses on one half-sentence. A few words that aren't even that important to the message she tried to conv...

Well I would say in indie movies is the are female lead roles more common, but without a doubt are there in general a lot more male lead characters. Maybe people think it's unusual that a female is the hero in a story. Stories lead by females usually focus on weaknesses, which is stupid but maybe e...

... the game simply doesn't perform. Just the tiniest closer look reveals an utter lack of player choice and agency (exactly the things David Cage promised). 99% of choices are totally inconsequential and many scenes (even some action-scenes) play out regardless of your input. [...] thus rendering ...

If it is so bad, then why is it so popular on the markets? And if I'm right, it is one of the bestsellers. Why? It's called marketing. It's all about hypes. Someone makes something, regardless of how good or bad it is as soon as it get's some attention people will buy it. If it's good, people buy i...

I think it is premature to do this. I mean she is young for this, she needs more experiment. [...] she will gain some experience [...] I don't think so. She's 26 with 15 years of experience. What more can you expect? Sure, she has no experience as a director but actors usually make good directors (...
